Findus Chooses DynaSys Demand Planning Solution

DynaSys, a division of QAD Inc. (NASDAQ:QADA) (NASDAQ:QADB), a leading provider of demand and supply chain planning solutions, today announced it has signed a contract with Findus, a frozen food manufacturing company. The French subsidiary has chosen the DynaSys Demand Planning solution and the Detailed Promotion Management module. The company will implement the solution first in France and then in Belgium and Spain.

"Our goal is simple: to support organic product growth in new markets and subsidiaries. To accomplish this, we need a robust, flexible and reliable solution that is supported by all IT stakeholders such as ERP, customer management and sales forecast departments. DynaSys has proven that we can count on its project team to successfully deploy this ambitious program.”

The Objectives of Findus

After issuing a request for proposal and evaluating five forecasting and promotion management software providers, Findus selected the DynaSys Demand Planning solution due to its extensive capabilities.

Among the multiple requirements were the following:

  • Improve and support the company’s growth strategy.
  • Optimize forecast accuracy with a reliable sales forecast indicator.
  • Implement a collaborative tool allowing better interaction among all departments within the company including sales, budget, costing and planning.
  • Increase seasonality visibility to have a reliable sales forecast at 18 or 24 months. Seasonality is critical for Findus products such as vegetables, fish and other perishable products.
  • Manage dynamic promotions which are essential for sales and inventory management.
