The implemented Supply Chain Planning solutions will perfectly be integrated to the Adonix ERP in order to supply and manage information flows and processes

DynaSys, European leading provider of Supply Chain Planning solutions, announced the signature of a new contract with CAE Group, a well-known industrial in the sector of cable systems, for the implementation of its n.SKEP Demand Planning and n.SKEP Procurement Planning solutions. This choice confirms the relevance of the n.SKEP solution by DynaSys in the industrial sector, whom needs and issues are rich, varied and often complex.

The CAE Group challenge

Subsidiary of TKH Group, a Dutch industrial company, CAE conceives, manufactures and markets cable systems. The two companies have a manufacturing pole made of 14 manufacturing plants deployed a bit everywhere in the world, which are specialized in cables and connectors, copper and optical. The centralized warehouse of 20 000 m² supplies the different managing directions in the different countries, which ones also have at their disposal a dedicated stock and logistics.

CAE Group, founded in 1987 regroups 9 regional directions in Paris and in province, which have for vocation to answer needs, in terms of products and services, of three sectors: telecoms, building construction and industry. The company employes 300 persons in France and realizes a turnover of 143 million euros.

Its procurements management and so, therefore, the optimization of its sales forecasts, were the two key-points which led CAE Group to search for an adapted Supply Chain Planning solution. After a market survey based on reports of a well-known analyze cabinet and a detailed comparison between different solutions, the Direction of IT, Surveys and Company Organization made the choice of n.SKEP Demand Planning and n.SKEP Procurement Planning by DynaSys.

The project concerns 200 to 300 suppliers and 5000 to 6000 active references in the three main sectors (telecoms, industry and building construction) with, for some of them, a notion of seasonality, and a supply place out of France, so a supply lead time longer to take into account.

Another key-point is the perfect integration of the Supply Chain Planning tools with the existing ERP (Adonix), in order to feed and manage information in the different company processes.

The choice of Dynasys

After consulting the main actors on the market, CAE Group chose the n.SKEP solutions by DynaSys for the pertinence and excellent adaptation of the offer to the industrial sector. Indeed, n.SKEP Demand Planning and n.SKEP Procurement Planning answer perfectly to the needs of this industrial, who manages an important stock, but who also works very often by business affair, that means with a stock which has to adapt permanently and answer quickly to its cutomers needs and sometimes in a very cutomized way. The n.SKEP solution also proves its relevance in the sector of engineering and construction which is characterized, in the CAE Group case, both by a reccuring catalog offer and by the sale of more complex components or specific solutions for important building sites.

The project

n.SKEP Demand Planning and n.SKEP Procurement Planning will be deployed in a centralized way on the site of Longjumeau. The supply and stocks of the three CAE Group sectors will be managed with the DynaSys solution, in complete integration with the company ERP Adonix. At the end, the company thinks about widening and decentralizing these tools in order to implement a real collaborative Supply Chain Planning solution.
