DynaSys, the global specialist in Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) solutions on the Supply Chain Management market, announces the release of version 2.1 of n.SKEP Demand Planning, a real collaborative solution in sales forecasts. n.SKEP Demand Planning allows companies to calculate and get more reliable logistic, sales and budgetary forecasts.

With over 18 years of experience and expertise in Supply Chain Management, and a sustained investment in R&D, DynaSys offers its new natively collaborative solution of advanced and high-performance technologies in the field of sales forecasts. ‘An accurate forecast is an essential point for Supply Chain optimization,’ comments Ariel Weil, General Manager Assistant of DynaSys.

‘We have invested a lot in the Research and Development of this new solution. We hope to come as close as possible to our customers’ new collaborative processes (collaboration between the central forecasters, salesmen on the different markets, and marketing), to propose advanced statistic methods for the forecast calculation and automatic synchronization within the forecast pyramid levels, as well as specialized ergonomics easy to use for sales forecasts. This enables all players of the collaborative sales forecast determination process to better focus on their job.’

The n.SKEP Demand Planning solution thus benefits from numerous advances, such as:

  • very powerful ergonomics that enable the forecaster to elaborate the forecasts on different product levels (“pyramid forecast” ), since all data is continuously synchronized, following every data modification or user parameterization: all of this with only one click…(“ Single Click Solution” ).
  • advanced statistic engines (exponential smoothing, box-jenkins, intermittent requests…), enabling the company to make monthly, weekly or daily forecasts.
  • powerful decision support tools: the company has at its disposal a tool for the detection and correction of suspected values, a tool for measuring the reliability of forecasts, permitting to measure the difference between actual sales and forecasts previously made, as well as ABC classification.
  • short-term demand management: the company can take into account all short-term events and readjust its forecasts (readjustment according to sales realized on past weeks, or orders for next weeks…).
  • safety stock calculation, in relation to the reliability of sales forecasts and to the targeted service rate.
  • detailed trade promotion management, which enables the complete follow-up of the process from the promotion proposition to its completion, as well as the measurement of promotion forecast quality.
  • reporting tools to be parameterized: various reports are at the users’ disposal according to their needs, like follow-up tables, synthesis tables…

‘The n.SKEP Demand Planning solution is integrated to the n.SKEP Production Planning and n.SKEP Distribution Planning solutions, ’ explains Ariel Weil. ‘It includes powerful modelling, which enables taking into consideration easily the various processes and constraints encountered, and was designed to effortlessly communicate with the corporate IT system, mostparticularly with the certified SAP interface, the XML compatibility, and the ability to integrate with external databases.’

‘The Ampafrance Group, more famous through its Bébé Confort and Baby Relax brands, recently enlisted our n.SKEP Demand Planning solution to improve its sales forecasts,’ adds Ariel Weil. ‘Thanks to the numerous functionalities of our solution, Ampafrance’s demand planning can now be carried out simultaneously by several collaborative users located on the same or on separate sites (n.SKEP collaborative e-business). All of this can be carried out within a work environment were data is calculated in real-time, and where information sharing is executed in a quick and secure manner.’

Ariel Weil concludes, ‘The n.SKEP Demand Planning solution now permits any company to more successfully master its supply chain and to improve its customer service by more accurate need anticipation, whilst significantly reducing its total costs through a better control of its stocks.’
