Making a competitive advantage from the Supply Chain, that's the challenge of Mayoly Spindler
DynaSys, European leading provider of Supply Chain Planning solutions, announced the signature of a new contract with the Mayoly Spindler Group (pharmaceuticals laboratory) for the implementation of n.SKEP Demand Planning and n.SKEP Production Planning. The Supply Chain was a strategic issue for the group, it had to optimize its growth and reinforce its internal organization in order to go with the company in its development on the very competitive French and international pharmaceuticals markets.
The Mayoly Spindler Group and the Supply Chain issues
The Mayoly Spindler Laboratories have been founded in 1929 and bought back in 1975 by Jean-Marie Vernin, Doctor in Pharmacy. The Mayoly Spindler Group assures the development of the companies Mayoly Spindler, NIGY and the Galeniques Vernin Laboratories. This group has a recognized expertise in gastroenterology, but also in internal medicine, ENT, rheumatology, dietary complements and dermatology. In 2007 its turnover was 110 millions euros, of whom 70% were realized in France and 30% on the international market.
"That's the intention to accompany our growth with an effective organization that created the Mayoly Spindler Supply Chain in 2007. Indeed is the pharmaceuticals sector more and more competitive, and the group has more and more ambitions on the international market, so we had to settle a process able to optimize our customers satisfaction" comments Stephane Dumaine, Administrative and Financial Director of the group. "An overall audit of our functioning methods was made during the 3rd quarter 2007, and a Progress Plan was proposed and validated in October of that same year."
According to Christophe Napiot, Project Manager, "the major issues of Supply Chain Planning solutions are to help the different actors, in the different services inside the group, to anticipate and make more reliable their decisions through a perfectly integrated collaborative process, particularly in terms of sales forecasting and anticipation of risks and opportunities."
The DynaSys solutions make the difference
The Mayoly Spindler group validated its choice for the n.SKEP solution by DynaSys in January 2008. Marie-Claude Cevalte, Supply Chain and IT Director explains: "We chose DynaSys after a traditional process of needs definition, market analyze and respect of the book of specifications. n.SKEP seemed to be the most complete, the most integrated and the most appropriate to our needs and strategy.
Our Sales Directors have been associated to this choice, it was necessary that they apprehend and take over the solution that we were about to implement." adsNathalie Archier Palmer, Operations Director for France.
Marie-Claude Cevalte concludes: "The n.SKEP solution by DynaSys will go with us efficiently in the evolution of our business, and so in the group development, making a competitive advantage of our Supply Chain."
